In an interview with ign to talk about the upcoming borderlands movie, gearbox founder randy pitchford dropped a major hint about a new project he considers to be gearbox's best game to date. The idea here is that gearbox is running through these again ahead of a new, third video about borderlands 3, and that will lead into an announcement about borderlands 4.
